We replaced Carbonite Pro with Carbonite Business in June and it's great to see that Carbonite Business is giving you a bang for your buck. Thanks for sharing your experience with Carbonite Business. As always, it is more than we wanted to pay but seemed the best fit for us. Simple restores, handles Exchange down to individual emails, fast. It is also making backups to removable drives. Initially, we set up the standby VMs and it did not work but deleting the configuration and backup files then recreating the standby VMs got everything going. We have it doing hourly updates to a standby VM for two servers. The cost does add up with their pricing plan.ĪppAssure has been great. It handles Exchange server but has required tech support to get it going again a couple of times after it quit backing up Exchange. Mozy does a good job for our servers and laptops at our remote office.

I would not use it for much more than this due to the manual configuration of executables and other files. It works well for this purpose and is incredibly cheap, no charges per GB like Mozy. We use Carbonite to back up data folders on the backend computer for a POS system. We use all three of the products asked about at three different locations. It's a best practice to have a hard backup, just so you have a quick restore point for your data.īut I do like the post, sounds like a nice replication software. Granted, it's a nice feature, but most companies have hard backups in place as well as offsite backups. Nice post to promote your product, but you forget to mention that Mozy also has the capability to backup to a local drive as well as offsite, this way you have your local drive backup to restore from.
